What to Pack

We suggest that you bring comfortable, casual clothes—jeans are OK. It would be a good idea to bring a sweater or jacket for class. The classroom has centrally controlled heat and air conditioning, and the temperature in the room can vary substantially during the day.

We suggest that you bring a rolling suitcase or luggage “wheelies” to transport your notebooks and reference materials between your sleeping room and the classroom.

Reno is "high desert" so there may be wider variations between daytime and nighttime temperatures than you are used to.  Check out weather probabilities for your trip to Reno.

Visitor Information

The City of Reno and Lake Tahoe, Nevada area are great places to visit any time of year. There are many historic tourist attractions and outdoor activities available, not to mention the entertainment facilities for which Reno is well known. Please note that because of the intense training schedule and the amount of homework assigned during the week, we strongly recommend that you plan any extracurricular activities for the days before or after the program. The Residence Inn Reno offers the same low room rates for the weekends before and after the training program to enhance your stay. Contact the hotel directly for details.
